Home Buyer Education Class for Baltimore City Grants
There are a number of down payment assistance grants and no interest loans available for first time and repeat buyers in the City of Baltimore. There's the Maryland Mortgage Program (old CDA) no interest loan, Baltimore City Employees grant, Community Development Block Grant, Vacants to Value Booster Grant and the new Grand Slam. These programs all help defray your down payment and closing costs. And, they all require that the buyer take an Home Buyer Education Class from an accredited organization.
One of the places you can get your class is at Belair Edison Neighborhoods. They offer the class once a month.
Maria Franchesca Stein and I will be joined by a local lender on September 19 at Enoch Pratt Free Library on Erdman Avenue. You do need to pre-register, you CANNOT just show up on the day of the class.
If the September 19 class is full, there is another one in October and you can always take the class online.
