Lead Generation Tips for Better Results and Increased Income - Part 4

Continuing on with this series of lead generation tips to improve your marketing results and ultimately your income and bottom line.

Do you host closing parties for your buyers? Before closing ask your buyers for a list of up to 25 people to invite to a closing party!!  Offer several choices of food, depending on the buyer's taste.  You can budget this for less than $100 and get up to 25 leads for your database in return, plus a chance to socialize with your clients' friends. 

Another closing party that can have a lasting effect on your business is a year end event.   The holidays are an ideal time to combine the celebration with a toy collection for families in need.  This night is full of fun and social networking.  Make sure to tell your guests they are welcome to invite another family.  Take pictures and send everyone a thank you newsletter sharing how many things were collected and how you value them as customers for life. 

You may also have a summer bbq in the park for the families of your clients.  Organize a day of fun with games for the kids, and lots of activities for every age group.  Be sure your clients know they can invite another family too.  What a fun and great way to engage your clients and their friends.

Another opportunity to is to host a Pampered Chef party for your buyer in their home.  Have your buyers invite up to 25 of their friends and perhaps some of their immediate neighbors.  All the purchase proceeds would go towards products for their kitchen.  Pampered Chef is always a winner and a good opportunity to mix and mingle with other potential buyers.

Market Update for Glen Burnie, Anne Arundel Co., Maryland for week ending August 23, 2008

The market remains fairly stable with some normal seasonal adjustments, with a few more buyers searching for their first or next home.  I'm surprised I'm not seeing more individuals making the decision to buy with some of the seller funded downpayment programs going away at the end of September and with the increasing number of down payment assistance programs available.  The weather has started to cool down with moderate days and cool nights and people are thinking about the end of summer and back to school and I think this may be having some cooling effect on the number of home buyers looking for new homes.  The number of new listings has increased slightly and the number of homes going under contract has also increased.  The numbers show a slowing in the market over all compared to this time last year.    It will be interesting to see how this all changes with the changes in the FHA and Jumbo loan limits and adjustments in the interest rates.  Overall, it's still a great time to buy.
