Live Near Your Work Baltimore - Home Buying Incentives
Live Near Your Work is a down payment assistance program for people working in Baltimore City for a select group of employers who value their employees and have offered to help them buy a home. So, how would you know if you work for a company that supports this program? A current list of employers can be found here. The program is partially funded by an employer contribution and partially funded by the City of Baltimore. The money received can be used for down payment and/or closing costs of buying a home in Baltimore City. Some of the companies do have restrictions as to where the home can be located and some employment restrictions so you should check with your Human Resources department for details.
Contact your Human Resources department or benefits manager for help in applying for the Live Near Your Work benefits. If you aren't sure of who to contact at your company give Liz Koontz at Live Baltimore a call at 410-637-3750 extension 114. And, likewise, if your company is interested in participating in the Live Near Your Work program have your Human Resources person contact Liz Koontz too.
You can use this program in conjunction with some other programs too, just ask me how and I am happy to refer you to a participating lender to get preapproved for a loan.
