Just Sold - Lansdowne Short Sale
My team just successfully settled another short sale. This lucky seller lived in Lansdowne for many years and is starting a new chapter in his life.
We listed 2229 Smith Ave, Halethorpe, MD 21227 late in September 2017. This home was dated and well lived in by it's previous owner and needed updating. It was originally listed for $149,900, reduced to $145,000. We got a contract fairly quickly after the price reduction but weren't able to negotiate a satisfactory price until February 2018 and the buyer was not ammenible and withdrew their offer. At this point we reduced the price to the banks approved price. Shortly, after it went back on the market, at the new price, we received another offer for slightly more but the bank wasn't willing to reduce their price without an appraisal. The buyer had an appraisal done and the bank agreed to reduce the price.
We settled in June and renovation work has begun on the house.
