Baltimore's Mount Vernon is celebrating the 37th annual lighting of the Washington Monument on December 4, 2008 at 6:00 pm.
The evening includes performances, strolling entertainment, refreshments and the finale is fireworks choreographed to music. The holiday village featuring food and crafts vendors will open in Mount Vernon's West park at 5:30 p.m. The entertainment on stage will begin at 6 p.m. and the Monument Lighting and fireworks display will occur shortly before 7 p.m.
Neighboring businesses like, Live Baltimore, will be having open houses during the event.
